How They Met

Micah and Marisa first crossed paths on August 19, 2016, during their college orientation. It was a brief encounter, but it set the stage for something wonderful. During the spring semester, their chemistry lab groups merged into a larger group of four. Through these chemistry labs and their involvement in the National Society of Leadership and Success, they started to get to know each other better and formed a strong friendship.

The Summer of Friendship

In the summer of 2017, both Micah and Marisa traveled abroad, staying in touch through regular messages, exchanging travel stories, and sharing photos of their adventures. Their bond continued to grow, laying the foundation for something more.

The Start of Something Special

As sophomore year began, Marisa was anxious about her first microbiology test. Micah, ever the gentleman, offered to help her study. They went to the Donut Hole and spent the evening laughing and enjoying each other's company, with minimal studying accomplished. Their feelings for each other deepened, and Micah eventually asked Marisa on their first official date to McAlister's Deli.

Becoming a Couple

On December 1, 2017, while hanging out with Micah, Marisa started feeling under the weather. Micah, always caring, made her a warm cup of tea and asked her to be his girlfriend. She eagerly said yes!

The Proposal

Fast forward six years to December 1, 2023. Micah took Marisa on a nostalgic walk at their alma mater and proposed. Overwhelmed with joy, she said yes, tears of happiness streaming down her face.

Their Journey Together

Throughout their relationship, Micah and Marisa have bonded over their shared love of science, medicine, and community service. Some of their favorite activities include watching TV shows and movies, volunteering at local free clinics and health fairs, building Lego sets, cooking new recipes and trying new restaurants, exploring the outdoors and hiking... Truly, anything in each other's presence. They are excited for the countless adventures and memories yet to come.
